Important advice

1. The sooner you book, the better! Every year, many couples want to get married in Italy, therefore, if you wish to have a legally recognized ceremony and need to book a town hall or church, we highly recommend you to get in touch with us ASAP, especially if you have your mind set on a particular date and you wish to get married in one of the busiest periods of the year, such as Spring (in this case, 6 months in advance are advisable). Beware of those who claim they can make all the necessary arrangements in just a couple of days… Italian bureaucracy takes time!!! And even the simplest ceremony needs accurate planning to be turned into a special event.
2. Documents generally have a 6 month validity.
3. Under Italian law, a woman who has been divorced, cannot re-marry in Italy until 300 days have passed from the date of her divorce.
4. Opening days and times, fees and procedures of Consular sections and Italian offices involved in the preparation of marriage paperwork are subject to changes without warning.
