A Lebanese wedding in Rome at Villa Miani

It was a fabulous long weekend of wedding celebrations for Nathalie and Mansour, a beautiful Lebanese couple, living in Dubai.

Nothing was left to chance and every detail was taken care of. The weather was also perfect, warm and sunny for the whole time, and since that is the main thing I cannot control in my job as a wedding planner, I couldn’t have asked for more!

Nathalie contacted me several months in advance with a very clear idea of what she wanted for her wedding and all the little details she wanted to incorporate and it was my pleasure to try and help her at my best.

She was a very determined bride, but always ready to listen to my advice and trust my expertise in suggesting the best possible venues and vendors that could have helped create her dream wedding and I must truly thank her for this.

The wedding ceremony took place in the beautiful gardens of Villa Miani, and was performed by a friend of the wedding couple, who made the celebration very personal and just perfect, with both laughter and touching moments, while a harp was gently playing in the background.

Next was the welcome cocktail with Prosecco and traditional Italian antipasti, accompanied by the sound of a violin and amazing views of Rome.

The wedding dinner with delicious Italian food was served in the Villa’s courtyard that was dressed up for the occasion with round tables, golden chairs, and all white and green flower arrangements, and of course candles everywhere, always a must to create a magic atmosphere.

Speeches and a surprise song for the newlyweds sung by some of the guests led us to the fun part of the event with a Lebanese DJ who made everyone dancing. The cutting of the delicious naked cake, while golden confetti were being shot in the air, was the perfect ending to an amazing evening.

The long wedding weekend had started with an all-white party on the river Tiber. Cocktails and traditional Italian food, like focaccia and cold cuts and cheese, welcomed families and friends from all over the world, all dressed up in white. The wedding couple only wore a touch of pale pink. I saw some amazing shoes and dresses and decided I must go shopping in Dubai!

To end the wedding celebrations, we couldn’t have picked a better location. Casina Valadier was the perfect reception venue for a lazy brunch in the park, with long tables and buffet-style service, gelato served from a cart and of course traditional Italian music with a marching trio, playing trumpet and tambourine and singing old tunes, that helped create a fun and relaxed atmosphere.

A beautiful long wedding weekend with some truly lovely people I’ll never forget!
