28 Feb A destination wedding in the Vatican City: Jolly and Victor
Jolly and Victor truly wanted to have their dream destination wedding in the Vatican City and they managed to get married at St. Anna on October 10th 2022.
They travelled all the way from L.A. with just a few guests, close family members and dear friends, which made the whole wedding so intimate.
October days in Rome, also known as “ottobrate romane”, can be wonderfully warm and we were lucky enough to have such a typical day.
Jolly and Victor had their ceremony at S. Anna, a small church just perfect for a destination wedding in the Vatican City. They also managed to incorporate some of their traditions, both being of Filipino origins.
The destination wedding in the Vatican City was followed by a photo and video shoot at some of the most well-known landmarks, such as the Spanish Steps.
In the meantime, guests were having drinks and canapés, happily waiting for the newlyweds at the reception venue, the spectacular Hotel De Russie. The famous Hotel De Russie boasts amazing gardens and is situated right in the heart of Rome.
The couple arrived and it was time for a romantic first dance, with an acoustic duo playing their favourite tune.
The reception continued with a wonderful meal, a delicious wedding cake, and of course, the bouquet’s toss. The fantastic photographer, Stefano Snaidero from Inesse Studio, managed to take an incredible shot that also won a prize.
What a wonderful day indeed! And if you think that, as most couples, Jolly and Victor flew in just a few days before the wedding, having done the whole planning via email, that makes their destination wedding in the Vatican City even more incredible. This can be scary for some couples, and a big responsibility for Dolce Vita Weddings, as well, but I must say I’m used to it by now, having worked as a wedding planner for almost 18 years!
